Academic Championships of the Czech Republic in indoor athletics took place on 11 January in the inflatable hall at Strahov. CTU athletes won a total of twelve medals, including eight academic championships.
The finals of the 7th annual student Robosoutěž competition were held on Friday, 18 December in the crowded Zengerovo auditorium of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering with a firefighting task for the robots. In a thrilling duel, the gold medal was won by student team of Lachslauchnudelauflauf formed by Jan Bouček, František Hurt and Václav Volhein of Prague´s Jan Kepler Grammar School.

During the CTU Christmas concert that took place in the atrium of the new CTU building on 16 December, results of the best CTU athlete of 2015 survey were announced.
A unique method dubbed Ink-and-Ray enabling 3D reconstruction from hand drawings has been developed at the Department of Computer Graphics and Interaction at Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

The Minister of education Catherine Valachová appointed 47 new professors on 11 December during a ceremony at the Carolinum. There are five new professors from CTU among them as well. All of them can use their new titles from 1 November.
President of South Korea's prestigious research university KAIST - Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, prof. Sung-Mo Kang, visited CTU in early December. The meeting was held on the occasion of the visit of President of the Republic of Korea, Ms. Park Kun-hje and her government delegation to the Czech Republic.

An event called Foxconn for schools was held in the premises of the Foxconn company in Pardubice on 26 and 27 November. In the pleasant atmosphere, study possibilities at Czech Technical University in Prague were presented to pupils and students of Pardubice, Hradec Králové and Central Bohemia.
Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Kateřina Valachová and Chairman of the Czech Senate Milan Štěch have handed over prices of the Ministry in the area of higher education, science and research for the year 2015 at the Senate of the Czech Parliament on 1 December. Luke Mikl, Jan Vrba Dominik Mareš, Vojtěch Smola and Vladimir Sulc from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Petr Maca from the Faculty of Civil Engineering were also among the awarded students.
Christmas tree was created by students of the Faculty of Architecture in collaboration with the Faculty of Civil Engineering, CTU Institute of Intermedia and students of primary, secondary and grammar school. The five meter PETree was officially lit on 1 December in front of the National Technical Library, which will be on display until 26 December.
Under the framework of a project by Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, called Advanced navigation for the visually impaired, a team of doc. Jiři Choda of Faculty of Electrical Engineering introduced a breakthrough concept of navigation for the visually impaired. It is based on a newly developed white cane coupled with a smartphone and navigation center.
