Faculty of Architecture of Czech Technical University in Prague invites you to the ongoing exhibition of studio works from the summer semester. It offers projects of 65 studios studying Architecture and Urbanism, Landscape Architecture and Design. The opening ceremony associated with the opening of the diploma projects exhibition will be held on 13 June at 18:00.
Chairman of the Association of Sports unions of the Czech Republic Zdeněk Ertl and Rector of the CTU Vojtěch Petráček signed a memorandum on long-term cooperation. Within the framework of this cooperation, they intend, for example, to strengthen the importance of academic sport for the development of the sports environment in the Czech Republic.
On Tuesday June 6th, 2023, the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague launched the second training fission nuclear reactor VR-2, and the tenth nuclear reactor currently in operation in the Czech Republic. In addition to these two training reactors, the Research Centre in Řež operates two research reactors, and six nuclear reactors are in operation at two ČEZ nuclear power plants. The Faculty is launching VR-2 exactly a year after it made public that its construction had been authorized by the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB). The new reactor is situated in the same reactor hall as VR-1 operated by the Faculty since 1990.
Nowadays, continuous research on programming languages is essential for the development of artificial intelligence. Prof. Kirsch, the head of the Programming Research Laboratory at Faculty of Information Technology of Czech Technical University in Prague (FIT CTU), applies his experience from University of California at Berkeley in Silicon Valley and University of Salzburg in Austria. He and his fellow researchers and students are looking for ideal solutions to apply innovations in programming languages to the development of artificial intelligence as efficiently as possible.
The interactive projection wall using remarkable software was prepared by a team from Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU led by Dr. Roman Berka. The technology is part of the ZeMě exhibition at the National Museum, which began last year and will run until 30 June 2023. The exhibition focuses on the theme of sustainability in everyday life and environmental friendliness. Although the first version of the wall in the exhibition is already in operation, the expert team continues to work on expanding its capabilities, said Dr Berka, who heads the Institute of Intermedia at FEL. Thus, the group is currently testing a second version of the interactive wall at the institute. The technology was developed as part of the NAKI3D project supported by the Ministry of Culture.
The Memorandum of Cooperation between the University and the Prague Diocese of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church was signed by Bishop of Prague David Tonzar and Rector of the CTU Vojtěch Petráček. It concerns in particular the use of the Bethlehem Chapel in October 2024.

This year's ninth edition of the symposium, held on 25 and 26 May 2023 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Faculty of Transportation Sciences of CTU in Prague and was connected with another important international conference - the 21st European Transportation Congress. After several years, the symposium returned to the beautiful premises of the National Technical Library in Dejvice, Prague.
At a time of ever-increasing complexity and flexibility of the Czech industry, working with big data has the greatest potential for increasing the efficiency of manufacturing companies. While vast majority of companies collect some data, at least in some part of their processes, Czech manufacturing companies are much worse off with their mutual integration, proper sorting and evaluation.
When in 2013 a new institute was formed at Czech Technical University in Prague, which set itself the task of linking informatics with other fields such as engineering, robotics, electrical engineering, biomedicine, energy or construction, very little attention was paid to areas such as Industry 4.0 or artificial intelligence in the Czech Republic. Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC) has bet on this card in a visionary way and can boast a number of achievements as it celebrates its tenth anniversary.
