In July 2024, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports approved the project proposal entitled "Support for Green Skills and Sustainability at CTU in Prague" with registration number NPO_CVUT_MSMT-2123/2024-4. The project has been prepared for the call launched for the RePowerEU plan of the National Recovery Plan, Component 7.4 "Adaptation of School Programmes - Promotion of Green Skills and Sustainability at Universities". The CTU project was supported with a maximum total amount of CZK 59,142,000 in eligible project expenditure.
The aim of the project is to integrate the topics of green transformation and sustainability into new study programmes, new subjects and lifelong learning (LLL) courses, whose graduates will be equipped with green skills and knowledge and thus become a qualified workforce in dynamically developing fields related to ecological transformation.
Thanks to this project, 3 new study programmes, 41 new or innovative courses, 8 LLL courses, 2 new strategic partnerships and a university-wide sustainability strategy for CTU will be created.
The project will be implemented until 31 December 2025 and all CTU parts will be participating.
