Acknowledgement for the University's contribution to the defence of the Czech Republic in the field of active reserve was received in Vyškov by the Rector of CTU doc. Vojtěch Petráček.

On Wednesday, 22 May, a meeting of Active Reserve soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic and their employers with the main officials of the Czech Army took place at the Training Command - Military Academy Vyškov. On this occasion, Lieutenant General Karel Řehka, Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Army, appreciated the employers of the soldiers for their support of the Active Reserve and for their contribution to the defence of our country and presented them with letters of appreciation.

"The cooperation with the army is important, not only in the field of science and research, but also in terms of involvement in the active reserves," said Rector Petráček after receiving the apprectation. In his opinion, this is a thank you to all employees and students of CTU who are members of the active reserves of the Czech Army. Moreover, this service to the country is part of the activities agreed between the army and the university in a memorandum of cooperation signed last April.

After the presentation of letters of appreciation, the programme in Vyškov also included a presentation of ground and air force equipment and a tour of training simulators.
