Professor Ing. Petr Moos, Csc. was very closely associated with CTU. He graduated from Faculty of Electrical Engineering at CTU, but his lifelong interest in transport and everything related to it led him to become one of the founders of CTU Faculty of Transportation Sciences in the early 1990s.
In 1994, he became its first dean, and was re-elected to head the faculty in 2006. Between 2000 and 2006 he held the position of Vice Dean for Science and Research at the faculty. Later he also held position as the Vice-Rector of CTU.
In 1998 he was part of Josef Tošovský's government as Minister of Transportation.
In addition to other positions, he has long worked on the development of the Regional Hospital in Liberec, and in 2022 Prof. Moos was awarded the Honor of the Governor of the Liberec Region for his lifetime contribution to transport engineering and higher education in transport. It was the Liberec Region that announced the death of Peter Moos today.
