It was a great honour for the Children's University of CTU to be invited by the Executive Director Mrs. Ing. Eva Hanáková to the prestigious SingularityU Czech Summit. It took place in Prague at Žofín palace on October 2, 2023 and brought together 25 visionaries from Silicon Valley and other parts of the world. Guests of the summit were European leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, politicians, world's leading scientists, as well as representatives of NGOs and outstanding students who had the opportunity to try the most advanced technologies in practice.

The key theme of this year's event was artificial intelligence. The summit showcased the latest technologies and innovations that will impact our future lives and change the business world and society as a whole.

The Children's University was given a unique opportunity to present its activities and mission: to arouse children's interest in technical subjects through interactive exhibits. Throughout the day, groups of children from selected primary and secondary schools took turns in the Knights' Hall. Space and time was also given to gifted children from poorer backgrounds.

Děti si užily den plný fascinujících experimentů a inovátorských ukázek realizovaných odborníky především z Fakulty elektrotechnické, dále Českého institutu informatiky, robotiky a kybernetiky a Fakulty stavební ČVUT. Na děti čekaly lego roboti, elektro hrátky, autonomní auto, chemické pokusy s Harrym Potterem či navždy oblíbené telefony. Unikátní ukázky svých experimentů předvedli také studenti přítomných odborníků: Ing. Jiřího Zemánka, Ph.D., Ing. Martina Hlinovského, Ph.D., prof. Dr. Ing. Zdeňka Hanzálka, Ing. Zbyňka Kocura, Ph.D., Ing. Vojtěcha Petruchy, Ph.D., Ing. Ondřeje Vondouše, Ph.D., prof. Ing. Mileny Pavlíkové, Ph.D. a prof. Ing. Arch. Zuzany Peškové, Ph.D., čímž vzbudili jak studenti, tak i jejich vyučující obrovský respekt hostů.

The children enjoyed a day full of fascinating experiments and innovative demonstrations carried out by experts from Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics and Faculty of Civil Engineering of Czech Technical University. Children were greeted by lego robots, electrical games, an autonomous car, chemical experiments with Harry Potter and the ever popular telephones. Unique demonstrations of their experiments were also presented by students of the experts present: Jiří Zemánek, Ph.D., Ing. Martin Hlinovský, Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Ing. Zdeněk Hanzálek, Ing. Zbyněk Kocur, Ph.D., Ing. Vojtěch Petrucha, Ph.D., Ing. Ondřej Vondouš, Ph.D., prof. Ing. Milena Pavlíková, Ph.D. and prof. Ing. Arch. Zuzana Pešková, Ph.D., which aroused great respect of the guests, both in relation to the students and their teachers.

Apart from the children, the distinguished guests left SingularityU with the same enthusiasm.

The summit included a conference in English in the afternoon, which was only for children. They had the unique opportunity to meet and talk with top experts from around the world. Free admission for children and their parents was provided by the international investment group Progresus.cz.
