On April 25th, 2023, a group of students of the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies (MIAS) made the second in a series of field trips to locations earmarked for development in various places in Prague. The first visit had been in March to a location on Rohanský Island, where there are some proposed development sites.

On April 25th, Dr Michael Pondělíček and Vladimíra Šilhánková led a field trip to to one of the biggest brownfield sites in present-day Prague, which is currently being redesigned jointly by the Capital City of Prague, by Prague 3 City District, and by a group of developers, including Central Group and Finep. In the course of the field trip, students were shown parts of a study drawn up in 2022 by the Prague Institute for Planning and Development that had not been adequately presented  to the general public. In particular, they were  shown areas of biotopes in the former marshalling yard of the station, some monuments and  the post-industrial zone, and also the remaining railways lines and plans for linking up the whole transportation system in Prague (Jarovská spojka and the cycle tracks from Olšanská Street). Students discussed other possible approaches for developing the site that they were standing on, as well as the limitations of the site. The latest situation and the most recent work on the location were presented to them. The field trip ended at the bridge on K Červenému dvoru Street, where the proposed Jarovská spojka link road round Prague 3 – Habrová will join up. The field trip took place on a windy but sunny day. It was a successful event that attracted the interest of dozens of MIAS students.
