In the week from March 13th – 17th, 2023, one hundred and sixty foreign students from leading European technical universities visited CTU in Prague within the framework of the Athens Progamme. Each of the students participated in one of the seven intensive courses organised by the university’s faculties.

CTU traditionally offers very high-quality courses that are rated highly by the foreign students and attract a lot of interest. The courses offered on this occasion were: Applications of Ionizing Radiation, Game Theory, PC Based DAQ in Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics, Introduction to Lean Six Sigma Management, Company Crisis, Publicly-owned private spaces (POPS) in Prague, and Performing Security Management in a Digitalized World.

Collaboration within the Athens framework goes back 20 years, and twice a year gives students an opportunity to participate in a one-week study stay at one of the following universities: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, CTU in Prague, Instituto Superior Técnico Lisboa, Istanbul Technical University, KU Leuven, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Politecnico di Milano, Delft University of Technology, Politehnica University of Bucharest, Technical University of Munich, Technische Universität Wien, Université Catholique de Louvain, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Warsaw University of Technology, Agro Paristech, Arts & Métiers ParisTech, Chimie ParisTech, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, ESPCI Paris, Institut d'Optique Graduate School, MINES ParisTech, Télécom Paris.

Each year, about 4 000 students participate in this programme. Students of CTU in Prague can of course also join the Athens programme  and go to one of the  partner universities.
