As promised, the Czech Technical University in Prague has provided accommodation to people who had to flee Ukraine invaded by the Russians.

The Strahov dormitory is now home to 180 of them, and approximately 90 are living in the Podolí dormitory. There are also over 100 young children accomodated in the dormitories who had to leave their besieged country.

The Ukrainians also received small gifts from CTU. As a thank you, they sent us pictures of themselves smiling in CTU T-shirts. Most of all, the refugees are now trying to figure out how they can join the workforce as quickly as possible, so that they are not dependent on state contributions or any other charity. They are also concerned about the placement of their children in nurseries and schools, as they do not intend to give up on their education even in this unexpected life situation.
