Students of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of CTU with a team of like-minded colleagues built the Next Zone coworking centre in the heart of Prague, which was inaugurated on 7 October 2021. Petr Štěpánek, Patrik Seidl and Josef Hnízdo, students of the bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technologies in Medicine, created a space where young budding innovators can meet, discuss and create.

The centre is located in an old industrial hall in Smíchov, which was renovated thanks to the support of the City of Prague, European projects and the management of the Smíchov Secondary Industrial School and Gymnasium. In addition to the space where interesting lectures, workshops or competitions can be held, there are above all very sophisticated, well-equipped "workshops" where the first prototypes can be created.

Petr Štěpánek adds: "The centre uses cutting-edge technology to bridge the gap between online and offline meetings. We would like both high school and university students to find their way here and create a place where the potential of ideas is translated into reality and dreams are turned into reality."

The Coworking Centre can be used by all CTU students.

More information about the centre can be found here
