Jiří Máca and Director of the Investment Department of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic Ing. Yveta Kurfürstová. The reconstruction started in June 2020 and was completed in March this year. The auditorium can now seat up to 540 students.

The author of the architectural design of the entire reconstruction of the lecture halls is Ing. arch. Vladimír Gleich from the Department of Architecture of the faculty, the contract was realized by the company VW Wachal. The most attractive element of the lecture halls became the highly functional Glasio absorbent acoustic tile made of black crystal glass, which gives the place a technical look and is a Czech patent of the Aveton company.

During the ceremony, the dean of the faculty also awarded a commemorative medal to staff members who have been working at the faculty for more than 46 years. The medal, which was created to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the beginning of the teaching of civil engineering in Prague, and which was awarded for many years of teaching and creative activity at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, was received by a total of ten academics who could not be presented with this award due to the pandemic at the traditional Christmas concert of the faculty. In addition, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Jiří Máca, also presented the medal to the Vice-Dean for Pedagogical Activities, Prof. Zuzana Pešková, for the organisation of pedagogical activities at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the CTU during the period of extraordinary measures, as well as to Ing. arch.
