Vice-Rector for Science, Creative Activity and Doctoral Studies of the Czech Technical University in Prague prof. Zbyněk Škvor and President of the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), Youngsam Kim signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic on 18 June 2021. The Rector of the Czech Technical University in Prague, doc. Vojtěch Petráček also greeted KETI representatives on 17 June.

The Memorandum was initiated by KETI as an expression of interest in deepening cooperation at the level of the entire CTU in Prague on the basis of a successful solution of existing cooperation projects. The signing of the Memorandum promises to further deepen the links between theory and practice and academia, especially in the field of AI, namely autonomous mobility technologies, the "digital twin", energy optimization, smart systems testing and the global impact of industrial digitization and carbon neutrality. 

The memorandum will also ensure cooperation during exchange stays between CTU and KETI or the formulation of educational and study programs in AI, from which conferences, workshops, seminars and other professional educational programs will emerge. 

Vice President Byoungmo Kang from the SMEs Collaboration Division, Director Kitaeg Lim from the Mobility Platform Research Center and Daekyeong Nam from the International Cooperation Department will attend the signing ceremony for the Korean side. 

Korea Electronics Technology Institute, based in Seongnam, is a leading research institute specializing in electronics and IT. It was established in 1991 by the Korean Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. Today, with approximately 800 employees and students, it is one of the largest and most important research institutions in Korea.
