The Uniqway University Carsharing project has merged with the Czech Red Cross and provides cars for the delivery of paramedics from Prague to nearby hospitals. Volunteers are drafted among its users who can get involved and dedicate their time to good things.

The pandemic and the lockdown did not stop the operation of Uniqway, which was developed jointly in 2018 by students from three Prague universities, the Czech Technical University in Prague, the University of Economics in Prague and the University of Life Sciences in Prague. Now the students have teamed up with the Czech Red Cross and are helping to transport paramedics from Prague to nearby hospitals. The students of Czech Technical University in Prague can also take part. All one has to do is log in using a short questionnaire published on the project's website, in which they fill in their contact details together with time options and according to them they are contacted by a representative of the Czech Red Cross with more information about delivery. The Uniqway team is ready to register all those interested in volunteering who are not yet users of the service. All information about the volunteering for Uniqway and the Czech Red Cross is available here

A student team consisting of three Prague universities - the University of Economics in Prague, the Czech Technical University in Prague and the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague - developed and in 2018 launched a unique Europe-wide Uniqway vehicle sharing concept. Conditions for its founding were created by ŠKODA AUTO ČR, ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab and the above-mentioned universities represented by mentors of individual teams. The carsharing platform is available to students and university teachers.  In 2020, car users covered over 400,000 km. Students from the University of Economics are in charge of the marketing strategy and manage social networks, CTU students have invented and implemented the entire technical concept and design of the service, and University of Life Sciences takes care of its operation.

More info about the service including pricelist can be found at www.uniqway.cz.
