In the area of the former barracks in Kladno, one of the buildings should be newly used as a teaching base for the study program Laboratory Diagnostics in Healthcare with first-class laboratories of microbiology, immunology, biochemistry and others and with classrooms or lecture rooms.

In January this year, the city of Kladno sold an abandoned building in the area of former barracks to the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague for a symbolic 1 CZK for further expansion of the faculty. The current two buildings of the faculty - the seven-storey building on Sítná Square and the existing rented two-storey building in the Barracks in Sportovců Street - no longer have sufficient capacity.

"I really appreciate the cooperation with the Kladno City Hall, the Czech Technical University has been successfully educating new experts here for a long time, and we are constantly growing in capacity. I believe that the creation of new teaching spaces will happen as soon as possible, "said prof. Jozef Rosina, Vice-Dean for Development, CTU Faculty of Biomedical Engineering.
