On 10 December, the best CTU athletes for 2019 were announced as part of the CTU Christmas Concert. They are Martina Satková, Anežka Paloudová, Jakub Zavřel, Jakub Dobrý and Tomáš Klinský. The Cups were handed over to the athletes by the CTU rector doc. Vojtěch Petráček, Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sport doc. Jiří Drnek and doc. Zdeněk Valjent.

Martina Satková is studying her second year of bachelor's degree at the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies. She is engaged in wild water and slalom slaughter, disciplines K1, C1. Her results in the white water downhill are: 2 x 1. at the World Cup (Spain La Seude´Urgell) - C1 sprint disciplines and 3 x K1 sprint; 2 x 1st, 2nd and 3rd at European Championship in Bovec, Slovenia; 6 x 1. and 2 x 2. at World Championships of age under 23 in Bosnia and Herzegovina (the most successful champion racer). Her results in water slalom include: 1st place in World Championship aged under 23 in Krakow in 3 x C1; 2 x 2nd place in European Championship under age 23 in Liptovský Mikuláš (C1 and 3 x C1); 2 x 1. on AMCR; overall multiple champion of Czech Republic; In the entire season, she has won 17 medals at the World Championship and the European Championship.

Anežka Paloudová is in the second year of her bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and her sport is speed canoeing and white water downhill. She has achieved the following results in speed canoeing in 2019: 3rd place in World Championship under age 23 in Pitesti (Romania) on K1 per 1000 m; 16th place at the World Championship in Szeged on K4; Semifinals at the European Games in Minsk on the K1 at 200 m. Results in the White Water Downhill: 1st at the World Championships in Spain in La Seude´Urgell for 3 x K1 sprint, 2 x 2nd for 3 x C1 and K1; 2 x 1st and 2 x 3rd at European Championship in Bovec, Slovenia; 3 x 1st in the marathon (Český Krumlov, Italy, France); 2 x 1st and 2 x 2nd at Academic Championship of Czech Republic; multiple champion of Czech Republic; Holder of 23 medals from Czech Championship, World Championship and European Championship.

Jakub Zavřel is studying his first year of master's study at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. He specializes in speed canoeing, where he won the 1st place in the European Championship under 23 years of age on the 500 m singles (the new European record under 23 years); 9th place at the World Championships in Szeged on a 500m four-seater; 1st place at Czech Republic Championship in 500m and quadruple 200m.

 

Yachtsman Jakub Dobrý from the Faculty of Information Technology won 3rd place in the overall ranking at the World Championship in yachting in the category RS 500 at Lipno this year. In this race he became the World Champion (2nd place) in the category under 21 years; 1st place in the International Championship of the Czech Republic.

The sport of Tomáš Klinský from the Faculty of Transportation Technology is alpine skiing, he took 2nd and 6th place at the World University Olympics in Krasnoyarsk (super G, combination) and 39th place in Super G at the World Championships in Åre, Sweden. He debuted in the downhill World Cup, at the legendary Lauberhorn in Wengen.
