The Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of CTU inaugurated the Laboratory of Robotic Rehabilitation in its building in Kladno on Tuesday, 10 December. The laboratory will serve both for teaching future physiotherapists and for scientific purposes. This unique workplace has state-of-the-art robotic devices for restoring walking or hand grip functions, especially for patients with neurological or post-traumatic diagnoses.

During the opening ceremony of the laboratory prof. MUDr. Ivan Dylevský, Dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, prof. MUDr. Věda Adámková, Chairwoman of the Committee for Health Care of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and Head of the Department of Preventive Cardiology IKEM, MUDr. Jarmila Zipserová, Guarantor and Head of the Neurorehabilitation Clinic AXON, and Ing. Aleš Příhoda, Head of the Laboratory of Robotic Rehabilitation of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering.

The ceremony continued with the launch of the publication Physical Therapeutic Methods for Practice, which was published by Grada and whose content was mainly attended by faculty teachers.

Then the Laboratory of Robotic Rehabilitation was inaugurated.
