On 16 November, the Josef Hlávka Award was presented at the Josef Hlávka Chateau in Lužany near Přeštice. The prize is awarded by the Foundation “Nadání Josefa, Marie and Zdeňky Hlávkových”.

The award was received by Pavla Fialová from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Bc. Ladislav Dvořák from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Bc. Andrey Chirtsov from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Ing. Dominika Mašlárová from the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, PhDr. Miroslav Pavel, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Architecture, Ing. Adam Orlický from Faculty of Transportation Sciences, Ing. Ondřej Klempíř from the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, Ing. Tomáš Čejka, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Information Technology and Bc. Magdalena Mudrochová from Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies.

The Josef Hlávka Award is intended for talented students in bachelor, master or doctoral studies who have demonstrated exceptional skills and creative thinking in their field and for young talented researchers of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic under 33 years of age. Its award is decided by the Board of Trustees of the Foundation on the proposal of the rectors of Czech public universities in Prague, the rector of Brno University of Technology, the chairman of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the director of IKEM Prague. The award is associated with the award of a diploma and a grant of CZK 25,000 for each bearer.
