On 10 September, the Czech Technical University in Prague received a prestigious HR Excellence Award from the European Commission in the field of human resources, which reflects the quality of the environment for researchers and guarantees its further development. The certificate can attract even more foreign scientists to the university and increases the overall prestige of the university.

The HR Award is awarded by the European Commission to research institutions that implement a personnel strategy based on the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. This is a recommendation of the European Commission that obliges research institutions to create friendly working conditions, professional development and transparent recruitment procedures.

Several universities from the Czech Republic are currently seeking the HR Award. For CTU, it means that it can offer a prestigious and transparent working environment that is open to domestic and foreign top researchers. The advantage of the HR Award is also the fact that CTU will have a head start in obtaining some prestigious grants, as the HR Award is a basic condition in some grant procedures.
