Participants of the Summer University will also be allowed into the normally inaccessible parts of the power plant, including the controlled reactor zone. In addition to professional lectures and excursions to various parts of the power plant, the program also includes relaxation. For example in Dukovany, students will take the opportunity to visit the famous brewery in Dalešice or to visit the Dalešická hydroelectric power plant and the subsequent boat ride on the dam. The visit to the Slavětice substation is also favorite. In Temelín, the students visited the Kořensko waterworks, the Hněvkovice power plant and dam, retention reservoir Býšov or the Kočín substation as part of the afternoon cycling program. During a varied program, students could establish closer contacts with each other.
The organizers are also able to meet very specific professional requirements: they can organize individual consultations with selected experts on request. In previous years, for example, future engineers met with experts on defectoscopy, or young chemists visited the chemical laboratories and rebuilt the containment of the first block of the Temelin Nuclear Power Plant.
The entire internship culminated with the final knowledge test, and the program culminated with the announcement of the Queen of the Summer University. This program was also attended by the Rector of the Czech Technical University, doc. Vojtěch Petráček, prof. Jaroslav Knápek from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Ing. Jan Rataj, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering.
