On 16 March, the exhibition of 100 years of symbols of Czech statehood was launched in the historical premises of the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. As part of the project "Roots of Czech Statehood", it was realised by the Head of the Department of Social Sciences at Faculty of Civil Engineering, doc. Dr. Ing. Václav Liška, LL.M., MBA, and Head of the Department of Music Theory at HAMU, doc. Mgr. MgA. Jiří Bezděk, Ph.D.

Visitors to the exhibition were particularly interested in panels explaining the creation of our anthem from a theoretical and musical point of view and the interconnectedness of the Czech and Slovak parts. Information about the state seal and the emblem, the origin of our flag, starting with its designs by Jaroslav Benda, Jaroslav Jareš or important legionnaire and artist Vojtech Preissig are similarly interesting.

From April, the public will be able to visit another exhibition on the subject expanded by explaining the influence of the Czechoslovak legions on the Czechoslovak Republic, which will be presented at the NaCH Gallery at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
