On Thursday 1 February, the 3rd annual Trade Fair of Prague Public Universities took place in the building of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, CTU in Prague. The event, aimed at communicating relevant information about the possibilities of studying at universities, attracted nearly two thousand visitors.

In addition to CTU in Prague, prospective students could visit displays of seven other Prague universities offering studies in technical, artistic and humanities study fields. These were the Academy of Performing Arts, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Czech University of Life Sciences, Charles University, the University of Economics, the Chemical Technology Institute and the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design. Apart from the information stands of individual schools, there were also comprehensive lectures throughout the day. There aimed to help with the selection of the field of study, mainly those who had not yet decided to study.

Compared to the similar educational fairs held in the Czech Republic, this one is unique in several aspects. It is organized directly by universities on their own campus grounds and there is an effort to immediately establish personal communication with the applicants. This is provided by students, educators and leaders of higher education institutions. For this reason, emphasis is also put on accessibility and the entry to the fair is free.
