The CTU Faculty of Transportation Technology is a partner of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Association of the Automotive Industry. This includes specific pilot projects in the field of electromobility, autonomous management and digitization, solved at the faculty. Following this event, the C-ROADS consortium contract was signed at the Ministry of Transportation of the Czech Republic, where the faculty is specifically appointed as one of the project investigators of pilot projects in transport telematics based on mutual vehicle-vehicle or vehicle-infrastructure communication. It is a major project for future autonomous drive, both in road and rail transport.

The C-ROADS project is run by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic and is an example of a unique cooperation between private and public sectors. Other members of the consortium are the Directorate of Roads and Motorways of the Czech Republic, Railway Infrastructure Administration and Brno Communications. The academic field in this project is represented by the Faculty of Transportation Technology. Commercial partners include Intens Corporation, T-Mobile, AŽD and O2.
