Faculty of Mechanical Engineering presented its two-seat ultralight airplane, UL-39 ALBI, on this years´ International Engineering Fair. It cought the eye of fair´s professional comitee and recieved a MSV 2016 Gold medal in Transportation and logistics category.

The competition was announced by the Union of czech industry and commerce and Brno University of Technology. Gold medal went to Robert Thein, head of Institute of airplane technology at CTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Radek Filip, director of JIHLAVAN airplanes s.r.o and Peter Prucha, technical director of development at LA composite, s.r.o. The award ceremony was also attended by president of Union of czech industry and commerce, Jan Mládek, rector of  Brno University of Technology, Peter Štěpánek and director general of the company Veletrhy Brno, Jiří Kuliš.
