During the CTU Christmas concert that took place in the atrium of the new CTU building on 16 December, results of the best CTU athlete of 2015 survey were announced.

First place was taken by Kristiina Mäki of the Faculty of Civil Engineering who won the gold medal in 5 kilometer run at the World Summer Universiade in South Korea and 2nd place at the European Team Championships in 5 kilometers run. She is also double champion of Czech Republic and Finland in 5 kilometers run and 1,500 meters run and had won first place twice in the 1,500 and 800 meters indoor sprint at the Academic Championship.

Kristýna Koubová of Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies has won the second place for her performance in fitness aerobics, She is a world Champion of the Caribbean Martinique, where she challenged 15 countries from 4 continents. Kristýna had also taken the 2nd place at the European Championships in Dordecht and won the Championship of the Czech Republic.

Third place belongs to David Sema of the Faculty of Engineering. He is dedicated to ice and inline hockey wtih which he won as the winning team member at the World Championship in Rosario, Argentina.

Jan Tesař of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering became the fourth best athlete of CTU in 2015. His accomplishments include 3rd place in the 4 x 400 meters relay at the European Indoor Championships, the 10th place in 400 meters run at the European Indoor Championships, 3rd place in 400 meters run at the Summer World Universiade in South Korea, first place in 400 meters run at the Czech Republic Championship and two gold medals from the Academic Championship of the Czech Republic.


Student of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Jan Hajek was the fifth awarded. His sport is rowing - a light weight four-sitter without coxswain. He scored 7th at the European Championships in Poznan in this class and also had taken 9th place at the World Championship in Aigubellete, 7th place at the World Cup in Bled, 1st place at the Championship of the Czech Republic in the double without coxswain under 23 years class and was a member of the winning mayor´s university eight-boat of CTU.
