President of South Korea's prestigious research university KAIST - Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, prof. Sung-Mo Kang, visited CTU in early December. The meeting was held on the occasion of the visit of President of the Republic of Korea, Ms. Park Kun-hje and her government delegation to the Czech Republic.

During the day, Sung-Mo Kang met with representatives of the Czech Technical University Rector's Office, led by the vice-rector for international relations prof. RNDr. Miroslav Vlcek, DrSc. He then toured the campus in Dejvice and National Technical Library and later visited several selected workplaces of the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering at Břehová Street, accompanied by its dean, prof. Ing. Igor Jex, DrSc.

This visit was the official culmination of yet the third five-year extension of the Memorandum on mutual cooperation (Memorandum of Understanding) between the CTU and KAIST.
