AIR House, the self-sufficient experimental house designed by a team of students of the Czech Technical University in Prague under the leadership of the Faculty of Architecture, has been awarded with the Prize of the Foundation for Architecture and Civil Engineering and also with the Public Award in the Building of 2015 competition.

The home of the Information Centre of CTU, the self-sufficient  AIR House, received the highest number of votes in the public poll of Building of the year competition and has won the prestigious Public Award. The poll had run through press, the Internet and at exhibitions in collaboration with media partners of the competition.

AIR House was designed by a team of students and young CTU academics for the international student competition US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2013, which was held in California. Here the structure won the third place. After the competition, the house was dismantled and transported back to Prague where it is used as the Information Centre of CTU since December 2014. It has also received the Environmental Oscar in the Youth category of the E.ON Energy Globe Award 2014 competition in 2014. AIR House still serves for research purposes as experts from CTU evaluate functionality of technologies and materials applied and energy performance of the building.
