The committee granted the gold medal for lifetime creative technical work and innovative action achievements to prof. Zuna based on nominations received by the editorial board of the MM Industrial Spectrum magazine.
Professor Petr Zuna holds an important position in the realms of Czech technical education, engineering, research, development and innovation. In the past 25 years, he has significantly contributed to their transformation. In the position of Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and later rector of the Czech Technical University in Prague, he contributed to the development of engineering disciplines and collaboration with industry. He is the founder of the Engineering Academy of the Czech Republic, participated in the launch of the Grant and Technology Agency and took part in the reformsas member of the Council for Research and Development.
