The main objective of the cooperation will be projects aimed at digitising the Lobkowicz collections and making them accessible to the general public. The long-term educational activities of the House of Lobkowicz curatorial team will thus be able to be expanded through digital education and become more accessible to all interested parties - on a global scale, without the need for a physical presence in the Czech Republic.
This is the first collaboration of the House of Lobkowicz with a public state university of purely technical orientation. "We are very appreciative of this cooperation because FIT ČVUT is an important research organisation and is part of one of the largest and oldest universities of its kind in Europe. We know from the experience of our educational programmes that the key to understanding the past is to know it. The opportunity to touch the past, to research it, to put ourselves in their stories, is irreplaceable. This is exactly what we want to make possible for as many people as possible anywhere in the world," William Rudolf Lobkowicz commented about the cooperation.
"The collaboration with House of Lobkowicz is a welcome challenge for us that will and already does bring a number of unique opportunities by combining historical legacy with state-of-the-art technology. We are delighted that this collaboration will make it easier for the general public to access historical information in an attractive and innovative way, and to better understand the past.
