Between 10 and 12 October, the XXVIth annual Gaudeamus trade fair will take place in Bratislava. As usual, Czech Technical University in Prague will again participate in this fair designed especially for secondary school students, with a large representation. There will be presentations by Faculties of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology and the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies.

Other faculties will not be present on site, but the necessary information will be prepared at the CTU stand. CTU will thus become one of more than 400 educational institutions that will be present at the fair. There will be a total of over 8,000 study programmes on offer; to give you an idea, in the academic year 2023/2024 a total of 502 Czech and 352 English study programmes (Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral) are accredited at CTU.

In addition to Slovak and Czech schools, universities in the UK, Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland, Lithuania, Austria, the United Arab Emirates, Finland, Belgium, Germany, Malta, Italy, Japan and France will participate in the fair.

The aim of the fair is to provide Slovak secondary school students with comprehensive information, advice and maximum support in their key life decision, which is undoubtedly the choice to study after graduation.  Undecided students will be helped by the Testing Centre and the Counselling Service. Any student can take the electronic Study Type Test and find out if they are Economics, Humanities, Technical, Science or Arts type. A team of counselors is available in the Counseling Service to help students select the appropriate school, college, or program of study based on the test results.

For students interested in studying abroad, there are stands open at the counselling institutions for higher education abroad. At Czech Technical University in Prague, Slovak students have the same conditions as Czech students.

Teachers and educational advisors can enjoy free tickets to visit the fair. Each educator will receive a free ticket by registering at www.gaudeamus-sk.sk.

Registration is also recommended for all students. Any student registered at www.gaudeamus-sk.sk is eligible for a discount on admission. Electronic ticket presale is also now open at www.gaudeamus-sk.sk.
