The 26th Strahov OpenAir Festival will offer an exceptional musical experience on 27 September 2023 from 14:30, bringing a wide selection of performers to the Strahov student dormitories, led by the band Wohnout. It will also include a food festival, offering tastes from different parts of the world in one place. The festival is designed for the whole family and traditionally, with free admission.

The Strahov OpenAir Festival, organized by the Student Union of CTU, will offer a total of four music stages on the Strahov campus, where a diverse program is prepared for visitors, with something to look forward to for every music lover. On the main stage, visitors will be listening to the bands Wohnout, John Wolfhooker, Fast Food Orchestra, Green Smatroll, BodyBag and also the winners of the Strahov OpenAir Band Contest, the band HEEL TURN.

The other stages will feature up-and-coming bands. "At the Strahov OpenAir Festival we give the opportunity to young and talented bands who are just starting their musical career to perform. Strahov OpenAir has already become a catapult into the music industry for several bands," said Jakub Zigmund, the festival's main organiser. Fans of the club scene will be delighted by Stage Seven at the legendary Club 007 Strahov, which has been operating in the Strahov dormitory area since 1969. The Scoffers from Liberec will thrill you with their performance, then hard-rock The Remedy will come from the Děčín region. The second club scene, Stage Desítka (the Ten), will offer a cultural experience thanks to the bands Šmitcový kvartet, Osm Setin bez Jídla, Propadleek, Martyans and WOSA. A good dose of energy awaits visitors at Elektrostage, where Hungarian DJ Quadrille, followed by Dry-Rot, Cerise, Seema Spacey and InSpectre will perform.

Strahov OpenAir will also include the third year of the accompanying food festival, which will bring a wide range of tastes to the Strahov dormitories. "At the food festival, visitors can discover the secrets of Tunisian, American or Spanish cuisine," adds Jakub Zigmund.

Strahov OpenAir has been conceived as a non-profit project from the very beginning and can only stay alive thanks to the support of partners. These include Czech Technical University in Prague, the Administration of Special Purpose Facilities of the Czech Technical University in Prague, the CTU Student Projects Fund, Metrostav, Ferdinand brewery, Spojovací vojsko, Jägermeister, RedBull, Johnny Servis and Elfbar.

The festival is one of the mainstays of the Czech festival scene. It prides itself on a varied selection of musical genres, accompanying programme and local cultural enrichment. In its history, the festival has featured such big names of the Czech music scene as Chinaski, Vypsaná fiXa, MYDY, Kryštof, Monkey Business and others.
