This year's symposium was held under the auspices of the Mayor of Prague Mr. Bohuslav Svoboda, Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. Jozef Síkela and Minister of Transport Mr. Martin Kupka.
This year's event focuses on issues related to sustainable mobility and the current energy crisis. The symposium has long aimed to be a multidisciplinary platform for sharing not only new technologies, but also and above all experience with their practical application in everyday life. The international overlap of the symposium is then declared by the program, but especially by the keynote speakers, who this year will be the Vice President of CCAM Mr. Christian Scharnhorst, Professor Lech Suwala from TU Berlin, Mr. Felix Metzger from BVG and Ms. Porie Saikia-Eapen from MTA NY.
The symposium is supported by a number of leading international companies, including VDT Technology, ČD Informační systémy, SUDOP Group, ČD Cargo, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Czech Post, CONTINENTAL, Smart Plan, Association for Transportation Telematics, Railway Administration and Air Traffic Control.
The scientific committee consisting of leading experts from the Faculty of Transportaiton Sciences of the CTU in Prague, namely the Dean of the faculty, Professor Ondřej Přibyl, Professor Miroslav Svítek and doc. Tomáš Horák, is responsible for the professional content of the symposium.
The symposium will also present outputs from the international student workshop Smart Cities in cooperation with the partner university UTEP and Faculty of Transportation Sciences, CTU in Prague.
The symposium also received partner sponsorship from a number of scientific institutions: the IEEE Czech Republic, the European Transportation Platform ITS&S (EPTS) and The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).
