After last year's virtual visits, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the CTU in Prague is opening its real doors. Visitors will see a range of experiments in the laboratories, ranging from robotic assembly to a cyber-physical production line system or a virtual reality presentation.

Prospective students can see that the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of CTU is unique in many areas when visiting the Day of Open Doors on 26 and 30 March 2022. It has its own aircraft engine testing facilities, provides homologation of new cars, develops innovative machine tools and has also contributed to the invention of a device that extracts water from dry desert air. Teaching includes the latest developments in robotics, automation, additive manufacturing, process control and current technological trends. This prepares graduates well for 21st century industry.

On Saturday 26 March, participants will learn about the new Bachelor's degree programmes in Mechanical Engineering and Machine engineering. The first lecture will start at 9.00 in Dejvice, at 4 Technical Street. In subsequent discussions, they will learn important information about the entrance exams, the course of study and excellent career opportunities. The discussions are followed by a tour of thirteen scientific departments with expert commentary. If a weekday is more convenient for someone, they can visit the faculty on Wednesday 30 March at 13 Karlovo náměstí. Groups of those interested in studying at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, for whom the offered dates do not suit, can arrange an individual tour by e-mailing helpdesk@fs.cvut.cz.

At the open days, interested students and their friends can see that the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the CTU in Prague prepares specialists for almost all engineering disciplines. They will learn that employers from home and abroad are competing for graduates already during their studies.
