The sixth year of the Šimáně Student Scientific Conference on Nuclear Engineering will take place at the premises of the CTU-CIIRC building in Dejvice on Thursday, 24 June 24. The conference is organized by the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering (FNSPE) with the support of the Young Generation of the Czech Nuclear Society (ČNS).

With its name, the conference pays tribute to Professor Čestmír Šimáně, who was responsible for pioneering nuclear research in Czechoslovakia (see the anniversary memorial).

Actively, with a contribution in the form of a poster or presentation, students of all levels (bachelor's, master's, doctoral) and recent graduates can participate, whose work can be included in one of four thematic sections: Nuclear Power, Modeling and Simulation, Use of Ionizing Radiation and Materials .

The conference is open to those interested also from beyond the academic community, who must register on the conference website. There is also a more detailed program and other information. Attendance at the conference is free for everyone.
