The graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering (FNSPE) is traditionally held in the Bethlehem Chapel. In order for students and their loved ones not to be completely deprived of the experience, the faculty decided to prepare an online graduation for all interested parties.

"Obviously, no major meetings will be possible in the coming months due to the pandemic situation. However, we did not want to completely deny the students the ceremonial end of an important part of their lives, and that is why we prepared an online graduation for them, ”says prof. Igor Jex, Dean of FNSPE.

The first FJFI online graduation will take place on Thursday, 4 March 2021, the first group from 15.30 and the second from 17.00. Graduate families and friends will be able to follow the graduation through the faculty YouTube channel. Students divided into two groups will be connected through the Microsoft Teams application, representatives of the faculty and the rector of the Czech Technical University in Prague, doc. Vojtěch Petráček, then they will each sit in one room, from where the painting will be transmitted live to the editing room. The promotion will be accompanied by the promoter prof. Michal Beneš, vice-dean for pedagogical activities, in the presence of the dean of the faculty prof. Igor Jex. The students will then be imaginarily brought in by the secretary of the faculty, Leopold Vrána.

"We tried to test everything at the rehearsal last week and we hope that our premiere will succeed. However, anything can happen. It is a challenge for us, "says Šárka Salačová, the main organizer of the online graduation.
