The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague is organizing a virtual tour on 16 January, 2021 from 16.00 for those interested in studying, as well as the general public. The program will include visits to several laboratories and workshops, which are closed during normal open days. An exceptional bonus will be a tour of the “workplaces of the future”. The first is a digital cell with a five-axis machining tool and its digital twin, then an experiment in which the strength of the sutures during heart surgery is tested. The third visit will go to the Emission Laboratory of the Center for Sustainable Mobility Vehicles, where the impact of emissions on living cells was tested.

The online tour is followed by a lecture and a chat discussion. Basic information about the study will be provided by the vice-dean for pedagogical activities of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering doc. Jan Reznicek. Students from the Faculty Engineering Student Club will then share their experiences from their student lives. They will explain how to choose the right field of study, how to solve problems related to study and how to have fun. It will also present the possibilities of further professional growth.

The whole program will be divided into two blocks and both will have room for questions. The first block will take place in the form of a YouTube premiere with the possibility of a chat, which will also be attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering CTU prof. Michael Valášek and vice-dean doc. Jan Reznicek. The second block will be directed by students from the Engineering Student Club and will take place on the MS TEAMS platform.

During the whole event, it is possible to write questions to all actors and read the answers in a short time. If someone interested in studying wants to ask anything related to the study, the entrance exam or the conditions for admission just now, he can write them to
