
The exhibition, which the National Museum is preparing in cooperation with the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, is devoted to the phenomenon of DIY from the last century to the present. It will present its transformations from objects produced in home workshops during the times of communist normalization period to contemporary creation, which often uses, for example, 3D printers.
At the exhibition, CTU will present innovations that arose during the coronavirus pandemic. Shown will be the model of the PET bottle made filter and shield by the Rector of CTU doc. Vojtěch Petráček, protective half mask made by 3D printing, filter membranes made of nanofibrous fabrics, respirator for children, CoroVent lung ventilator, full face masks, respirator made by 3D printing, prototype reduction for connecting HME filter with Easybreath full face mask, filter material to be sterilized by electric current, or a protective shield made by 3D printing by the Faculty of Transport CTU.
