CTU in Prague supports the Czech Science in Malý Tibet project of the non-profit organization Brontosaurs in the Himalayas. The aim of the project is to provide regular science teaching at the Spring Dales Public School in Mulbekh (North India). A new school building with classrooms specializing in physics, chemistry, biology and IT will be completed in summer 2020.

The Brontosaurs group  have been supporting the development of the Spring Dales Public School in Mulbekh in the Himalayas since 2008. Since then, the number of children has risen from 80 to 250, students have become the best in the district and we have raised CZK 14 million for investment, including donations from the Dalai Lama. CTU employees and students can participate in the following ways:

 

1.    Go teach children about science in Little Tibet for 14 days in early August (application due by the end of January)

 

2.    Provide financial donation for new classroom equipment or donate used equipment

 

3.    Go train teachers to use their new infrastructure
