Television mini-series HBO Chernobyl has become one of the highest rated series in history and has won three Emmy Awards for television production this year. The commemoration of the 1986 event strongly resonated in society and drew attention to the issue of nuclear power. Although the creators of the series tried to be as authentic as possible, yet not everything corresponds to reality. This is what Dana Drábová, chairwoman of the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB) will talk about at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (FNSPE) in a lecture entitled Chernobyl: series and reality. The lecture will be held in the auditorium 115 on Wednesday, 16 October at 3.30 pm .

The lecture is a part of the faculty colloquiums, where leading domestic and foreign experts speak in an accessible way about current topics and research results. Lectures are held on Wednesdays during the semester and are open to a wider audience, not just students and faculty staff.
