The introductory lecture by Professor Simon Litsyn from the University of Tel Aviv Education for Innovation will take place at CTU - CIIRC on 19 November, from 17.00 to 18.30. This lecture will launch a weeklong workshop on innovation and entrepreneurship organized by CTU and the non-profit organization STAR Research & Innovation Cluster in Dolní Břežany. The event takes place under the auspices of the Embassy of the State of Israel in Prague.

Professor Litsyn is a world-renowned expert in electrical engineering and computer science and has over 60 registered patents. At M Systems, he was at the founding and development of a USB flash drive. He is the founder of one of the most successful Israeli start-up companies - StoreDot, which specializes in battery development. He has been lecturing and mentoring for a long time.

During the weeklong workshop, nine top Israeli lecturers, led by prof. Litsyn, will be educating thirty representatives of the academic community and technology transfer from the CTU and research centers from the region: STAR - ELI Beamlines, HiLASE and Biocev. The program is coordinated by an experienced Israeli mentor and entrepreneur Oren Simanian.

All lecturers come with practical experience in setting up and developing companies, or work in international companies. The project launches a Czech-Israeli innovation initiative to develop specific opportunities for cooperation between research institutions and the commercial sphere.
