Demonstration of a device for the detection and elimination of drones flying in a restricted area will take place on the Císařský Island in Prague on Thursday, 26 July between 10:00 and 12:00. The device originated as a result of contractual research of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, awarded by the company 601 s.r.o. It focuses on the distribution of the top fo the line DeDrone system in the Czech Republic and its installation for the protection of critical infrastructure (power stations, government headquarters, industrial complexes, stadiums, concerts, but also corporate headquarters and private residences) against possible drone attack or use of spy and paparazzi drones.

The DeDrone system allows you to detect a helicopter flying in a guarded area and acquire its position. However, the German manufacturer's system is now unable to react actively and quickly to safely disable the detected helicopter.

The Team of Dr. Martin Saska of the Multirobotic Systems Group at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, has devoted its efforts to using the latest knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence and intelligent robotics and developing a fully autonomous system that integrates smart robotic unmanned devices into the DeDrone detection device. In the resulting system, an unmanned device responds automatically to a DeDrone alarm and quickly flies to an area where the detected drones are estimated to be. With the aid of on-board sensors and artificial intelligence based on neural networks, the helicopter itself confirms the existence of an unwanted dron and precisely locates its position. Using accurate predictive control, it is then navigated to a position that is considered to be the most advantageous for using a firing net to safely capture the drones. After capturing the drone in its net, the helicopter returns to the safe landing site.

Test grounds of company 601 s.r.o. on Císařský Island is currently the only place in Central Europe that is permanently protected against unidentified flight by unauthorized unmanned helicopters.

Registration is required.
