Celebrations will commence on 24 January with a gala dinner in the Bethlehem Chapel. Awarding of Gerstner Medals to important faculty associates will be part of the program. Among them are president of UTEP, Diana Natalicio, who was ranked among the world´s 50 most influential people last year, Mayor of Prague, Adriana Krnáčová, or architect Michal Postránecký. The new book Města budoucnosti (Cities of the future) will also be christened at the event. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the unique professorial group DUO PROFESSORES, consisting of accordionist Professor Miroslav Svítek and cellist Professor Ondřej Přibyl.

In the course of the year, there will be several events to celebrate the 25 years of existence, such as the 4th annual International Smart Cities Symposium Prague 2018 or a conference presenting the results of the Faculty's activities in recent years.

The Faculty of Transportation Technology of the Czech Technical University in Prague was accredited on 5 May 1993, and in the academic year 1993/94, the first 200 students of full-time master's study course began to study, with the first 70 graduates in 1998. Nowadays, the Faculty has over 1,200 students and over 300 graduate bachelors and engineers graduate from studies each year. Further academic degrees can also be pursued at the faculty.
