In August 2025, the Czech Technical University in Prague welcomed a high-level delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan, led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Czech Republic, H.E. Bakyt Dyussenbayev.

The delegation included:

  • Nariman Turegaliyev, Akim (Governor) of the West Kazakhstan Region,
  • Murat Baimenov, Akim (Mayor) of the city of Uralsk,
  • Samal Mashanova, Vice-Rector of the West Kazakhstan Innovative-Technological University,
  • Gaukhar Kairliyeva, Vice-President of the Kazakh University of Innovation and Telecommunications Systems,
  • Anuar Seidrakhym, Press Secretary of the Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region,
  • Ali Berdeshev, Head of the Department of Social Development of the West Kazakhstan Region Akimat,
  • Robert Irmenov, Director of TOO “Oral Polymer”,
  • Alina Baigaziyeva, Representative of the Socio-Entrepreneurial Corporation.

On behalf of CTU, the guests were welcomed by Vice-Rector for International Relations, prof. Oldřich Starý, and Head of the International Office, Dr. Oleg Fetisov.

The main agenda of the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between CTU and Kazakh universities, particularly in the areas of student exchanges, joint projects, and broader academic and research collaboration.

Both parties expressed their interest in strengthening partnerships and building long-term cooperation in education, science, and innovation.
