The "Capture Allure" challenge involved 27 teams consisting of 68 students, mainly from MIAS, but also from other faculties of CTU. They had three Peugeot electric cars at their disposal: the E-208, E-308 and E-3008. These cars were immortalized in different environments, often in surprising and innovative ways. "We were very pleasantly surprised by the results. The photos and videos show how much energy and creativity the students put into their works," said Jiřina Nováková, Marketing Director of Peugeot in the Czech Republic.
The announcement of the results was opened by Vojtěch Petráček, Rector of CTU, Vladimíra Dvořáková, Director of MIAS and Marco Venturini, Director of Peugeot in the Czech Republic. This was followed by the awarding of the best teams in the photography and video categories. The winner of the photography category was team No. 26 (Tomáš Boháč, Anna Pirková, Bára Jílková, Jan Hrabák and Matěj Říha), which received a prize of CZK 15,000. In the video category, the first prize went to team No. 7 (Sandra Málková, Mikuláš Matějka and Michal Kulja), which was awarded 25,000 CZK. The second and third place competitors in both categories shared the prize money, the total amount being CZK 58,000. Other participants received prizes in kind.
The students appreciated not only the opportunity to try out the electric cars, but also the originality of the project. "We appreciate the trust that Peugeot has placed in us with their cars. It shows that the brand takes young people seriously," said a member of the winning team. Vladimíra Dvořáková, the director of the MIA, described the competition as a great example of how students can combine theory with practice. Vojtěch Petráček, Rector of the CTU, expressed his wish that similar projects would be more numerous in the future. "Cooperation with CTU allows us to get an authentic view of the young generation on electromobility. This partnership is beneficial for both parties," concluded Marco Venturini.
The "Capture Allure" competition has shown that the combination of creative thinking and modern technology brings not only innovative results, but also inspiration for further collaboration between academia and commerce.
