It is a unique joint workplace of a prestigious hospital and a respected faculty of the oldest technical university in the Czech Republic, where, among other things, clinical and practical teaching will take place in accredited study programmes of FBMI, such as the Bachelor's programme Laboratory Diagnostics in Healthcare and the follow-up Master's programme Biomedical Laboratory Methods.
"We consider CTU to be an important partner - we are already cooperating in the education of students in several fields. It is a great honour for us that next year we will open our first joint institute," said Václav Masopust, director of the Institute.
Jozef Rosina, Dean of the CTU FBMI, added to the signing of the agreement: "We are very pleased that this agreement takes our cooperation with the Institute of Veterinary Medicine to a qualitatively higher level, both in the field of education and scientific research. I am convinced that this connection will be very beneficial for both parties and will bring benefits not only to both institutions, but especially to patients."
The agreement between the hopsital and CTU also envisages mutual cooperation in the field of education of health professionals in other study programmes, in the field of science, research or in obtaining grants.
