35 and 85 years. Two anniversaries of 17 November. Speeches, wreath-laying, remembrances began on a festive Sunday in front of the Hlávkova dormitory of Czech Technical University

CTU Rector Vojtěch Petráček's speech, in which he spoke about democracy and its preservation, was described as appealing by CTU graduate and moderator of the ceremony in front of the Hlávkova dormitory Ivan Wilhelm.

Passing through the stop in Žitná Street at the memorial plaque of J. Opletal and V. Sedláček, the parade of (not only) academics continued to Vyšehrad, where this year a "substitute" programme was held instead of the reconstructed Albertov.

Rector Petráček, Vice-Rector Radek Holý and other representatives of our University commemorated the Memorial Day by lighting a candle on Národní třída and an evening concert in the Bethlehem Chapel, the ceremonial auditorium of CTU, when the University was a co-organizer with the Josef, Marie and Zdeňka Hlávek Endowment Foundation.
