The 106th anniversary of the founding of the independent Czechoslovak Republic was traditionally commemorated today by CTU Rector Vojtěch Petráček at Hradčany Square, where he laid a wreath at the statue of the founder of our modern democratic state, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk.

The joint laying of wreaths is a long-standing event of the Czech Rectors' Conference, and today its chairwoman, UK Rector Milena Králíčková, and other university representatives were present at the TGM statue.
