Embarking on an Erasmus+ study abroad journey involves several adjustments. Studying in a different language, concerns about finances, discovering a new culture, or being away from family are only some of them. The COSTABEX project, co-funded by Erasmus+, developed an educational program to help students prepare for the challenges of studying abroad, particularly focusing on mental health.

The program included teaching students relaxation techniques, communication skills, financial literacy, or stress management. Additionally, students received support through counseling emails before studying abroad, during their mobility, and after they come back to the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the project created valuable resources that are available to all students and interested individuals from other universities.
