CTU athletes participated in the university sports games (PCU Games) in Antwerp on the last weekend of April 2024, hosted by the local University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
A total of 72 of our athletes, led by the team leader Zdeněk Valjent, competed in seven sports competitions against 14 countries, 27 universities and 61 teams. They also played against more "exotic" opponents such as students from Kosovo, Iran and French-speaking Canada.
Four of the seven CTU teams also achieved medal placements. The bronze medals were won by the men´s volleyball team (coach Petr Musil, captain Matyáš Sojka) and the women´s volleyball team (coach Petr Musil, captain Kateřina Hájková). The second place went to the women´s basketball team (coach Antonín Ludvík, captain Michaela Pitrová). The most valuable golden trophy was won by our football players led by captain Jan Svoboda.
