Apply for the EU-funded I&E programme and become part of the international EIT Manufacturing community. This is a unique opportunity not only for those who have innovation and entrepreneurial ambitions in life, but also want to gain new knowledge and experiences with colleagues from other European universities and improve their soft skills.

The EIT Manufacturing Doctoral School supports PhD students in transforming their research results or patents into marketing solutions. The programme is available to doctoral students from 7 European universities (including CTU in Prague) and complements doctoral studies with an international two-year course focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. The programme runs in parallel with the PhD studies and at the end of the programme the graduate receives an EITM labelled certificate attached to the PhD diploma.

  1. The 1st year is devoted to deepening students' knowledge of specific manufacturing aspects such as Green Manufacturing, Robotics, Smart Manufacturing Systems, etc. In parallel, they work on the idea of a marketing solution for their PhD topic/project through Design Thinking methodologies.
  2. The 2nd year of the programme continues with a focus on business aspects. Students work on the definition and eventual launch of an innovative start-up, which may receive further support from a number of EIT Manufacturing initiatives.

The education is enriched by 5 months of student mobility in academic and industrial environments. The programme is fully funded including international and intersectoral mobility! Students of CTU in Prague can participate for free.
