The traditional New Year's concert for CTU employees, partners and friends took place in the beautiful Dvořák Hall of Rudolfinum on Tuesday 9 January. As every year, there was a huge interest in the concert.

The Rector of CTU doc. Vojtěch Petráček greeted the audience and then musical tones echoed around. Under the direction of conductor Jan Kučera, the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra performed works by Gioacchino Rossini (overture to the opera The Barber of Seville), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Concerto in C major for flute, harp and orchestra) and Ludwig van Beethoven (Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92). The harp was played by the top harpist Jana Boušková, the flute by the well-known flutist Jan Ostrý. Guests were surely delighted not only by the beautiful music in charming premises, but as always also by the pleasant atmosphere. Next year we look forward to seeing you at the same place.
